Do you enjoy my Blog?
I am delighted to announce that my blog is in TWO blog awards this year!
If you are reading this entry, it probably means that you regularly pop into my blog to hear more about all the wildlife projects and adventures I undertake. I can’t quite believe it, but I have been writing this blog since February 2010! My blog is a way for me to document (and remember!) all the different projects I undertake and it has enabled me to connect with so many wonderful wildlife enthusiasts throughout the world! I feel very privileged that so many people enjoy sharing the wildlife that I record, photograph and connect with.
This year, my blog has reached the second stage of The UK Blog Awards in the Nature & Wildlife category.
The mission of The UK Blog Awards is to recognise the unique and resonant nature of the Internet community – from bloggers to Social Influencers and through organisations and individual creators. The UK Blog Awards is the most prestigious, and the only, multi-industry awards honouring online excellence.
Now in its sixth year, The UK Blog Awards continues to celebrate the most resonant and engaging content creators in the UK, those inside and outside of the prevailing trends.
There are lots of great blogs on there and they are all worth a look. In order to get through to the shortlisted finalists, I need your vote!
If you think my blog is worthy of this accolade, then click on the link below and please submit your vote!
The other competition that my blog features in, is the Terra Incognito Blog Awards. I had to submit an article about one of my favourite wildlife moments. I chose a session I had with Skeld Primary School in Shetland last year, when we dissected barn owl pellets together! You can read my entry by clicking on the link below.
The Wildlife Blogger of the Year 2018 competition calls on bloggers from around the world to put their favourite wildlife moment into the spotlight, in 800 words or fewer. Sponsored by SWAROVSKI OPTIK and organised by Terra Incognita, the competition aims to celebrate storytelling for positive change, and has an impressive list of prizes and star judges.
“We’re seeking stories that raise awareness about our planet’s incredible wildlife and explore people’s connection with nature through travel”, said Dr Nick Askew, co-founder of Terra Incognita.
As a social enterprise Terra Incognita believes that ethical ecotourism, combined with the power of blogging, can be a real force for good in the world. “Bloggers are some of the greatest storytellers of our time, and we want to create opportunities for bloggers to be recognised and rewarded for their talent through support, encouragement and publicity”, said Nick.
The Wildlife Blogger of the Year 2018 competition will award a two winners – one chosen by a star panel of judges and another as voted for by the public
If you feel my blog is worthy of your vote, then please click on the link below and vote by scrolling to the bottom of my article and choosing Blog 30 as your vote.
Thank you to all those who chose to vote for me! It is much appreciated and I hope you continue to follow my wildlife adventures.
