WildlifeKate Patch Update: Feeders, Foxes and Snack Bar Visitors!

As the weather has got colder, the numbers of birds on my feeder has increased and they are motoring through the food! I feed a mix of black sunflower seeds and sunflower hearts, a high energy no mess food and fat bars, all from CJ wildlife. This selection attracts a wide variety of birds, as you can see by these videos. These feeders live stream on the front of my website and it is lovely to be able to share my visitors with people all over the world!

It was Twitter follower, Matt, who first alerted me to the Blackcap visiting! I haven’t seen one since last winter and it is lovely to have them back. They love the fat bars and are feisty little characters! The woodpecker wasn’t having any of it though!

There is a lot of water around, so less drinking from the waterhole, but lots of bathing…..

This bird bath placed at my fox feeding station is also popular with bathing birds and this robin wins a prize for the most splashy bath!

The foxes are still visiting and this little vixen is a regular. She is tiny… in fact, I have had a couple of cats visiting and she is only a little bigger than that. A very pretty vixen and sometimes visits quite early if I get the food out quickly!

I love this time of year as the birds visiting bring me much pleasure, just watching them from my window, on the live camera monitors in my office as I work or via the Internet.

I hope you are enjoying them too… if you see anything interesting whilst watching then do contact me via Twitter or email.
